So took it to a small builder in mid Nebraska and it is on the road!!! Told him I didn't want to bring it home until it could run and drive.

Wish I had the talent of some of the folks on here but I have has a fun time planning out the project build parts exactly as I wanted. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376004052.908719.jpg

Still a long ways to go. I won't have a build thread but do have over 500 pics to even get it to this state!!

Way to GO! I love shoe boxes. Rag Tops are my favorites. Mine is a Biz COUPE with Super Charged 292 Y block, C-4 w Gear Vendors O D. Sure sounds great at full song or idle.

    Good luck with your project.

Great feeling to look at pictures of a pile of parts and know you can go out and take a drive after "some assembly required":)

Thanks everyone! Putting the miles on it, 450 in the last week. Loving this thing! No smurfs were hurt in the building of this car. At least the evidence was washed off. :) ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1376801835.570620.jpg

Cool ride! I truly really like it but I will give you my honest opinion in case you are planing on keeping that front seat, It sticks out like a sore thumb,I would at least remove the headrest and/or dye it black to subdue it more if I couldnt come up with a more original looking one.

Dont be offended by my "opinion" Its yours, Do as you please.

Totally agree w you! Headrests will be coming off and the seats all covered in pearl white as well as the rear seats and side panels. They are 74 Cadillac all power and super comfy so they will be staying but need to tone them down a lot! Glad they bother others as much as they do me.

51 crestliner trim and foxcrafts will be going on soon. I need to start getting my windows and top parts cleaned up and ready to install as well.

Cool! The closer they are to top of the door height the better they will look and the all pearl white interior will help to make it flow better.

Yes. That is a balancing act. The seats are also on risers so the wonderful girlfriend can drive. Hoping to bring them down one more inch and she will still be able to see. She loves driving it which makes me super happy and proud. :)

I was just about to comment on how the whole car was ruined by those horrifying seats but it sounds like that is under control so I'll just chime in to say nice save!

The way it seems to always go. You cant give it away so you build it to keep and then everyone wants to take it from you. Just wait, you will see. Nice car.
