I don't see the one she's looking for but that 2 spoke, 2nd one down on the left is badass.

Hi there, bought one of these at a recent swap meet, the cool older guy selling them advised me 'Covico' for sure, IMG_1566.jpg

In the early sixties, a lot of speed equipment companies made generic products that were relabled by another company as their own. Not sure about Covico, but I suspect that they were sold under several brand names. Louie Senter, Ansen, did a lot of horse trading and a "genuine" Ansen wheel could very well have been a Covico.

A company like Moon or a catalog business that may not actually produce a particular product maybe, but going between two companies that do seems unlikely to me. I'm still suspecting the possibility these could have been mislabeled in an old article or by word of mouth and just perpetuated through time. This thread might be a good example of that. Somebody's got to have an ad or something to help put it to rest, bowie?

landseaandair: I've come to the conclusion, some people don't like facts to get in the way of what they want to believe. I agree with you completly. As a side note; Early Moon and a number of the gocart company's are the only ones I have found ,that marketed "real" 3 even spoke Covico's without using the Covico name. Been digging through all my mags and catalogs and can't find much more than a few interior shots, no ads. A couple different diameters though and the earliest was '67.

Just saw this in a buddies late 60s Newhouse catalog. Doesn't really nail it down but it looks like you could get them in different colors and two diameters.

Just bought a couple late 60s catalogs. Honest Charley and Midwest Auto.

Grant never made an even spaced spoke wheel that I'm aware off. Likewise Covico never made it's wheels with uneven spacing.
