    preparation of front.
verification do you need to change the pivot pins before
all bearings Front and rear ok like new

I took the opportunity to reinforcements on the arms which they had shrunk before.
I have more confidence as well, than a simple weld around the cut.
    Stole a 2 m / m espousing arm.

Some years ago there was a fellow in Bisbee Arizona who seemed to collect Citroens, he had a few in his yard up the north end of Tombstone Canyon. Nice cars.

Last time I was in Bisbee they were gone, perhaps he had moved.....

Is that a standard grey from some or other car manufacturer? It looks rather like a recent Fiat grey, one of a very few non-metallic neutrals available on new cars. I am considering it for the Morris Minor.

    You are a true craftsman!
    Amazing work and great project,
and super cool shop space and tools.

would a BMW r90s engine fit in there?

Interesting idea! It might actually be easier to build a Citroën/BMW hybrid engine using airhead jugs on a 2CV crankcase. The tricky parts would be matching pistons to the non-removable 2CV conrods and getting the compression ratio right, and a cam with the desired profile. Both engines have the cam under the crank, and presumably there is a bit of leeway with pushrod angles.

R90 90mm cylinders would give 891cc and a starting point of about 65bhp to work from; R100 94mm cylinders would give 972cc and 70bhp-plus.

And the American Hot Rodder said, "I want to build something different". I love it, didn't think so at first but wow. Great workmanship and finished product.

Not sure if it would be easier modifying a hybrid,
or making an engine/tranny adapter and possibly flywheel adapter.
Whatever the case it would be 3+ times the horsepower!

Maybe just building dual carburetor manifold(s) would be easier,
    like the type 3 vw's.

thank you friend the rodder .

    @ ned ludd
painting is a dark gray and has the original paint for a train.
the train is TGV, the French high-speed train .

it is possible to mount a flat bmw 1200 ;)
suitable for the box speed stock citroen .

    Here is an example.

but for now it is flat citroen , missing a few dollars .

  24. I dunno how I missed this build, but crap! It had me sitting for a long while going through it! Fantastic metal work! even the paint is beautiful, I love the simple steering wheel and it even looks better painted to match.
    damn, thats awesome

  25. That is SO cool!!!

  26. The problem is that the Citroen crankcase has been hogged out just as far as it will go. Citroen took it from 375cc to 602cc over the years. Adaptors are available to fit either a BMW flat twin or a Moto Guzzi Vee twin (see below). The 2CV engine is tunable - at a cost.

Oh Boy that duck is awesome! Duck is the nickname Here in Germany for a 2CV. I wish i had my Old '73 duck today!
What about a 1220 ccm GS Engine?

  28. What about transplanting a modern transverse 4 and it's drivetrain/suspension?
