First I want to thank everyone for the advice I have gotten from everyone....ok the 55 truck gas tank is leaking at the seam so I am wondering which is cheaper get the tank boiled and sealed or mount a fuel cell........what do you all think??????
were is the tank at now in the cab or the bed ?? if its in the cab , then I would find a unit to go under the bed
Just priced boiling and sealing one today... It was cheaper to buy new. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Changing out exactly what you have will always be cheaper and easier in the long run. Mounts, lines, fittings, senders, ass aches every step of the way. Change to a fuel cell if you need a need a fuel cell.
Along with the price, it's sometimes pretty hard to find someone who will even work on a gas tank these days. If you are bent on having a tank behind your butt in the cab most of the aftermarket truck goodie vendors offer new tanks but I'd go with (and have) one under the back of the bed myself. Cell, burb tank that is adapted or a custom bolt in tank will all work.
$175.oo gets you a brand new steel O.E. style one from Tanks. It can't be any better than that. That's so cheep I bought 2 for mine. The Wizzard
