Fifth row center, waiting for the movie to start! Great to see all the Cavaliers in attendance. I'm here with Bob Seiger, former president of the Renegades Car Club, 1949, 1950 I believe. Roll Call: who else is here?!
It's here next week and I can't wait to see it. I've been having some problems buying tickets off the web sight, so I guess I'll drive down this weekend and grab them at the venue. I mean really, how often do you get to see a hot rod movie on the big screen?!
Hi Need Louvers! Yes we had to buy our tickets from the box office, luckily Bob lives close by and did it for us. It was great to see Brian Darwa introduce the movie, pity he didn't have a question/answer session after the film. When you go, you'll see a trailer for his next film on the Motorcycle Cannonball race. That was awesome for me because I restore antique motorcycles.
In the immortal words of John Banner who portrayed Sargent Shultz in Hogans Heros "I see nothing"! HRP <iframe width="640" height="480" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rwcBaG-S7UA?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
it was a great turn out, Brian did a GREAT job on the movie! This was I believe the first time on the big screen- so he will hammer out some of the glitches..great to see everyone there- I did see a RENEGADE jacket in attendance did not get a chance to say Hi.
The movie is called this is long beach it follows the cavaliers from the early days to the present. Interviews with past and present members as well as film and a chopping of a 47 ford.
For more info visit the film makers website .www.atomichotrods.com. This film maker is the same guy that made the flathead movie,A sweet sickness,as well as the road to bonneville
It was a great turn out, nice meeting new people and hanging out with old friends. Nice to see people make the drive out from Vegas just to see the film. The theatre was almost sold out which is hard to do with even big studio flicks. if it comes to a city near you I strongly suggest catching it. If you're expecting explosions, A list celebs and sci fi this isnt the film for you...... but if youre a car guy/girl with interest of how things were in the 40s, 50s and on to the present you wont be disapointed
Doubtful. The Deuce of Spades was a fictional love story. This appears to be a well done documentary.
The movie should be released on DVD sometime in September. . . so if we don't get to your city you wont be left out.
Looks cool, be sure to post on here when you release the DVD and where we could buy it, I'm sure lots would be interested.
The schedule is on my site: www.AtomicHotRods.com More dates will be added, so check back. There's also a thread here as well: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=820448 If you have any questions feel free to ask. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
The premiere was awesome! Movie came out great, you guys should check it out when it's released on DVD.
Enjoy your films Mr. Darwas.... Congratulations to the Cavaliers. Hope Santas reading this, I know what I want in my stocking.
