The October issue of Rod and Custom has a feature car,1929 roadster pickup (Washington blue) that is using a 40 rear end. Frame has been stretched to mount the spring behind the axle and it keeps its original 103-inch wheel base. Might be of some help to you.:)

This is what I made to set it up for coil overs.
    Hope this helps.

Good stuff... Anybody have a thought on using a rear T spring or a model A???
Putting a 4 inch drop front axle...
The one in the latest Rod and Custom mag said they had to z the rear 7 inches.
Wondering what I should consider in the
    rear.
    Anyone have some thoughts ???

I believe I have read here that the T spring will drop the rear about 2 inches verses the A spring. I dont know how it will change the height when changing from the '40 spring.
