  7. Heres a couple of mine at the moment.. Its an AR '27 Model A chassis with a '28/'29 cowl, a '28 and a '29 door (i thought having one external handle and one internal would confuse people :p) and brookville rear quarters / subrails ect.

I just bought a 29 roadster project from an old friend, and I can't wait to get it home and start on it. I'd sure like to see more of them, please keep um coming.

<----- There's mine. There's a few more pics in my album. Haven't updated it lately, sorry, but it's slowly coming along.
The thing that breaks my heart about most all these pics in this thread is the use of the deuce grill over the stock 28-9 grill. Maybe it's just me, but I really happen to like the look of the 28-9. Let's bring 'em back. The '32 grill's have been done to death!

Mine and one that I've been working on for a friend. Both early flatheads, 39 boxes, banjo rears, and deuce grilles (sorry Pop-Rodder :)

Ok I have a dumb question

What does AR mean? I have seen it in a number of posts when talking about these cars.

  15. Essentially the AR Model A's were late '27 builds. Basically the transition to the Model A from the previous T. AR's have the handbrake on the driver side, not in the center.. the steering wheels were apparently red and the cowl where the hood goes on has a wider or different shaped line.

More informed people will chime in with what they know.. or do a search.

  16. Thanks for asking 08racer. I have a sport coupe with E brake lever to the left of driver. On the fence about rodding it.

Here's my roadster when I found it.

That is Lewis Young's 29 from the early 70's in Atlanta. He built one of the nicest ones around at the time. I used to visit his shop when I lived in Atlanta.

Very nice 29'. I remember Lewis from the Gatlinburg runs. I think he was from
Stone Mtn, Georgia. Often wondered if he is still around.
