  2. Yeah I think that's what it is too. Beautiful rear... but I think the front is a little fugly depending on the model.

did you by any chance draw up plans for that grill? I have a 61 that I was planning to build a cistom grill for. I was thinking of using a speed grill metal similar to the Caddy V models. Just can't find small quantities. My next choice is a tube grill like this.

  6. BTW, are you going to take it back to the way Masa originally built it, brown paint and all?

A chopped top (regardless of how mild) takes your Caddy out of the "mild custom" category. Sorry, but I didn't write the rules ...

A little help please, can anyone tell me specifically what kind of hub caps these are? Not sure if they are made up of a couple different types or just bullets added to a Caddy style cap. Thank you for your help.

Reminds me very much of the '82 Cadillac hubcaps I had on my caddy.

He and a friend of his made them.
The car was the real deal "barn find". A neighbor told him that his grandparents had a 50-something car sitting in the barn that the wanted to get rid of. They had bought it new here in Springfield, but he didn't know what it was. We went with cash in hand and a trailer, talked to her and she pointed out to the barn. We slid open the door and saw a tarp over a lump behind a bunch of hay bails, went over and moved the bails and pulled the tarp and saw what it was and the shape it was in. Spit on the paint and rubbed it shiny in a spot, pushed it out and loaded her up! Looked like a bobcat had been living in the engine compartment because there were several animal carcasses in there! LoL!
Anyway, he has modified the suspension, floors and frame to make it ride awesomely (no bags), new bitchin interior, and fuel system (270 poly and auto) and drives the crap out of it. He scotchbrited the blue and scalloped and buffed the white and built the skirts and that's where she sits now.
    A pre-skirt and scallop pic.

  21. So that's stock '55 Lancer two tone? The '55 colours were wild, industry wide, & I love that blue.

  22. That's an understatement....
