Im Bang'N Agian!!! After playing "Musical 4-Banger" with 3 motors got tiring, I jumped to the 28rpuV6 to start driving that, got it running but hit a roadblock with that, "Shit, I got to change the cam." Back to "Musical 4-Banger". I'm on Engine#3. Got it running Saturday after down for 4 weeks. I was riding my DYNO to work. After dicking with Enigine#1, putting it in & out cause it was more than just a Headgasket, I was so close to SBC'g the fucker. It's Running Now. . . So Far.

Now Im back on the 4 others cars in my backyard I got to get running. I think I'm driving this Model A a little too hard.

Give us a run down on your engine and drive train, I seem to recall an aluminium flywheel housing?

We have no plans to make whole HAL conversions only the bare Model A HAL head castings and 5 main OHC blocks....... no sales planned sorry

Remember we are doing this to fix my wife's car It's not a business

  24. Interesting! Didn't Ed Winfield say "Cast iron's for racin'; aluminum's for cookin'!"

  26. Was the 7:1 Winfield flycut? I'm pretty sure they were originally flat over the pistons. That one looks identical to my 6:1 'Yellow Head'.

Thanks Dan plenty to think about there a good collection of examples. Heads are still being developed as we understand these motors better and apply modern tech to them .
One example I like the look of is Pat Garys BHT8BALL on here. He has combined a design with some of his other products to produce more swirl in the combustion camber its a good example of a modern head moving these motors into the present day.
