I'm looking at a restored '49 two door sedan. Rebuilt original flathead and 3 speed and it runs and drives really nice. The paint and interior are really nice. My question is what is it worth?

whatever you are willing to pay for it..........what someone else would pay is of no consequence and doesn't really matter. You, and the seller, have to be satisfied with the deal.

nice looking can be deceiving with an old car even if recent past garage kept. if seller set a number and if that is OK with your budget and no known immediate work required go for it -

Exactly. There is not a kelly blue book for customized cars. Worth nothing to me, maybe more to you.

  11. Very similar low mile black 50 Ford sedan sold locally for 20 grand,,I was shocked! HRP

  12. I have a friend with a 49 coupe with the pop out rear side windows. Original green with nice patina, rechromed bumpers, lowered, whites, original interior, overdrive, rebuilt motor has Eldelbrock heads and 2 carbs.

He will take $15K for it.

I love the car; just have too many toys already.

Thats a nice looking Ford. I'd say 10K-13K if I was going to try to sell it for him. Possibly a little more if the underneath looks like the top.
