Hey new to the forums from New Zealand

    Hey everyone im from New Zealand and have a original patina 1965 sedan deville with a 429 motor

    heres a pic of it when i brought it

    im after some info on how i can make it more economical to run im think differant carb ? electronic ignition ? higher power coil ?

    Caddy & Economy? Mutually exclusive back in the day of your car, 15mpg on a good day...

    Gotta agree that fuel economy and 429 cubic inches don't normally happen.

    Things like better flowing exhausts and upgraded ignition can help but, when you factor in the cost compared to the savings it doesn't compute. Still, big car, room for lots of mates (of both sexes) that can help with fuel costs.

    Oh, and welcome from another Kiwi.......
