That sucks! Glad that they are ok!

  5. That stinks big time...PTL they were un-hurt. I'm sure it is an emotional challenge to get through.

Oh man! Makes my blood run cold. Sure glad everyone was ok physically, but they must have been wracked up pretty bad mentally. Ya just never know......

That car was beautiful and on it's maiden event run and even won an award. Huge bummer, but great news that they were OK.

Could be wrong, but kinda looks like pieces/parts were gathered and put in rumble seat and passenger compartment to clear wreckage off road. Glad everybody walked away as this could've been much worse!

Looks to me like there was an impact of some sort. (lmao!)

This is a shame. This is why I don't drive my prized possessions very often. Its just too hard to find that sheetmetal anymore! I'm glad no one was hurt.

On Boone's thread with the photo coverage of the event one of the guys who traveled with the group the car was in said that something locked up (either trans or rear end according to him) and the car spun and the vehicle behind him ran up and over the right front fender. I'd say that's some serious defensive driving to manage not to hit it head on and injure the two guys in the car.

Glad they are ok. Add the cost of new underwear to the repair expenses!

Glad that the people are alright, that is one serious mess. Hopefully well insured but I suspect that will not take the sting out of that accident.

I am seriously glad to hear that no one got hurt.
It's a great looking car, but cars can be fixed - sometimes people can't.
    Good luck with the rebuild.
    Cheers.

Damn! That sucks, that was a georgeous car! Doesn't look to terribly bad though. Should be no problem.to repair. I wonder what happened? Suspension or brake failure? Edit: Oh, sounds like rear end locked up?

  24. That does suck....I hope he chose a good insurance company.

A horse's mouth explanation of what happened would be better than speculation.

I can't imagine what would compel someone to post this.

  28. Well to me it's a wake up call. Hot rods are inherantly a little dangerous. Just shy of a motorcycle.
