The tail section (hood) looks like a 40s Hudson to me. You'll only need a hood and hood sides for your front sheet metal. You have the bottom grill, the hood sides make up the rest. A 37 hood might work. They look nearly the same.

I talked with Bob Mays and he knows a bit about the car. He thinks he has a few other photos of it and is going to get back with me.

Hey Adam, did't hear from you last night. Did you get the car home? Give me a call if you did. Steve

  7. This thread just has to be the coolest ever.

Or right up there in the Top 10.

I especially like it that the car had not only style, but was also finished off at a level of fit and finish that few were built to back in the day.

It makes the end product even more enjoyable for us car nuts to see.

    Go get 'em!

I don't know about the #208 car but I do know about Gordy Shuck. I know a guy from Edgar that has talked about him a couple times. I can find out more if needed.

I will take more pictures tonight. I'm going to start a build thread. I will post the link on here. Still looking for any info I can get on the car. Thanks for all the comments and interest.

Adam, talked to John Immell to day. He said the motor we talked about was right. He also said they had no problem with the cut down torque tube they ran in their '32, and they used '39 up pick up rear brakes. Says same as car on mounting.

P.s. showed immell the pics you left me, I think he's kind of stoked. He might come in handy as he still remembers the set ups, and flattys.

HAMB stands for Magic Kingdom (in some language). Where dreams come true. What a find!
