Got the rear window out of car...now it done blown up!

Getting ready to paint my Dad's '41 Plymouth, so I was getting everything off of it. Windshield was already out so we got the rear window out. The weatherstripping was so old it just crumbled. Came right out. I sat it carefully on the workbench and walked away.

About 15 minutes later we heard a noise from the garage, so I went to investigate and lo and behold the windshield had exploded!!!!!!!!!!!

Anybody got a spare rear window for a '41 Plymouth sedan?

 

Best bet is to put it in the wanted section,,people troll the classifieds daily. HRP

You may want to try the P15-D24 forum. They have a buy/sell section, and a lot of helpful folks that might be able to assist you .

 

so it is...hardned glas, minor strain,and suddenly it could brake! GeezersP15 gave you a great tip.
