NHRA class from the mid-sixties. Class "E" modified production. A 57 with a hotted up 283 would run that class.

Better try the 2" dropped spindles first. Then cut springs if you need more. But 2" drop is probably all you will need. Mine has 2" dropped spindles and I have to be carefull of parking against curbs and speed bumps already. Would not want it any lower

That looks like a great car to start with. The keystones are cool too. I like post cars with lower trim levels. Your 210 will look good. I'd love to turn up a 150 some time.

I have 2 inch drops now and have hit a few curbs, not good. Also your exhaust will hit speed bumps if you aren't careful. The exhaust is lowest where it passes under the tranny bellhousing frame horns.

Yes I am working to get my exhaust up a little. I have a 68 style bell housing and Patriot headers so I am hopeful the I can pull the piles up a little. Mine are about 6" off the ground. Also with the 2" dropped spindles you have to be careful when turning into a driveway. When the tire is turned and you hit the bump it will make the tire rub the fender. Looks super cool but there is a price to pay. And again I have stock springs. No cut coils

I'll try the spindles first before I cut a coil then. I also have 225/70r14's in the front now, but want to go with 205s.

Mine look just like yours. This is my setup, only difference is my spindles have 4 holes in the square flat backing area, one in each corner. Nothing in the top holes, however.

So i'm cleaning and lubing my caliper, decided i'd paint the caliper and the painted part of the Keystone wheel, when I notice for the first time that I have two 15"s and two 14"s. Ha! I didn't notice before cause it has both 14"s on the left side, and both 15"s on the right. All four tires are different sizes, so I didn't look close, just figured i'd buy a new set.

Got a new bench seat style shifter stick for my Hurst shifter and adjusted the linkage today. Finally pulled it out of the garage and took it around the block for the first time, and man is this thing badass!!! It easily lights up both rear tires from a roll in 1st and 2nd, and pulls real hard throughout the others! I looove this car. I have alot of slack in the steering wheel tho, and it is hard to turn left, but easy to the right.. All ball joints, tie rod ends look and feel great, no slack there.. Guess it's time to save up for a new manual steering box.

  26. original spindles are tapered, bearings are somewhat expensive- least they are for my 55... best to replace them with new ones when doing the disc swap, then you can just order them dropped anyhow... classic chevy club (back when they were good) did a couple tech tips on swapping brakes with mid 70's GMs check their online site and see if you can find the article if you are looking to do it on the cheaper side
