I have a soft spot for these cars. I sold my altered wheelbase chevy II last fall.
I hope Quain talks you in to making the trip up to Byron Illinois next summer to the Meltdown Drags. He and Donovan put on one heck of a show.

Thanks, II FUNNY I just got off the phone with Quain about 30mins ago. He said they had a blast!!! We will be planning on next year to come up. It's sounds like it was and AWESOME!!!!! time.. We will be looking forward to bringing the BOOGIE MAN next year.....

 

The starting of the ladder bar brackets..

 

We got the ladder bar mounts tacked on to frame rails.

 

It looks like your putting a full frame in. Does this mean your going to remove the stock floor?
Any chance of you moving the rear wheels ahead?
I'm assuming your going to run a stick if your running with the Stott boy's.

Yes sir, It will be full frame all aluminum interior. 4130 chrome moly roll cage. We have tried to lighten the car as much as possible. And we are running a Doug Nash racing 5 speed with a Long racing shifter.. As far as the wheel base the rules don't allow us to alter wheel base. Wish we could. It would just look BADASSSS!

 

I wouldn't mind running my 31 chevy with you guys at greer some year, but mines considered an altered with the engine setback 20% , so it looks like I'm a spectator. I'm subscribed so hopefully I'll see it here and in person.

Leaf springs brackets tacked on and back shackles mounts made and tacked in place.

 

Well frame is mocked up. To the point we need the body on so can install the cage to help sure up the frame. So now we got the body in shop cutting and trimming and repairing. The sticker on the side glass are cool! Just knowing this was a drag car before makes it so AWESOME!!!!! to be building it again...

 

I would take that quarter window glass out and save it for a wall hanger. Its pretty neat.

 

Chad, We are its just to cool!!!! Not to keep it and hang it up...

We got new driver side quarter fixed in and ready to weld in.

 

Damn this is gonna be pretty cool. Gotta watch this build. Can't wait to see more.

XXX got the firewall cut out. Body getting close to get sand blasted..

 

Looks like a great project. You just have to work on your pic embedding. Your pics are all over the place.
