Nice. My sister had a '59 Ford when she was 15. It was a four-door and not quite as nice as that one. It ran great with a 292, 3 on the tree, and overdrive.

  4. Awesome! Congratulations to your sister.

  5. super nice first car. it would be very popular around here, lots of fifties ford guys (and girls).

  6. Great to see a young person have opportunity to carry on with a real car.

  7. Hey, this is really great! Tell her congratulations. Oh, and make sure she's got seat belts and good brakes in it.

Looks real good. I remember when they were new, Ford advertised them as "The World's Most Perfectly Proportioned Car". They may have not been exactly right, but who cares!. I also seem to remember that the '59 Ford won some sort of an award at the World's Fair in Belgium, which led to the previous quote.

  12. Great car! Slap in some seat belts and she is ready to go...

Thanks for all the kind words. Seatbelts will definately be installed.

My old man took it to church sunday and she asked him "so what do ya think dad?" ... And he replied by jokingly saying "i think the more i drive it the more it becomes mine" .. He told me she just looked at him and "yeah right nice try".. Ha

Sweet... makes a great resto-rod. I can see it with a stroked 390...maybe when she's a little older!

Great sister & great car. With her choosing that car she's probably 95 percent ahead of the guys her age. Imagine the look of the guy that pulls up in his turbo-muffler/million watt sound system Honda next to her. Then again if he's driving something like that he'd be too dumb to know what it is.

3 point might be difficult with a hardtop. But seatbelts front and rear (for her friends) are a must especially for young drivers.
