So one fine Saturday afternoon, I happened to take a stroll downtown Wylie, TX and stumbled upon a car show, where I saw "Grits Coupe", as I took a picture of this fine piece of machinery, I was greeted politely by Gary ( I think that's his name) asking me ," Why I'm taking pictures of his license plate? " As an automotive enthusiast myself, I can completely understand why someone would object to that....but after about a minute or 2, I explained I was just taking a picture. After some searching for the owner of this 1930 Model A, I found the "H.A.M.B" Without further or due, here is the picture( without the LP # of course ), hoping the owner will see this....

Gary is a cool dude. Hasn't been around here in a long time though. Glad to hear he's still making the scene.
Cool, have not seen him post in the main forum for a while. Hope he does. Do a forum search for The Grits Coupe for his build thread. It's awesome.
I do, my computer crashed over the weekend, and I had to build me a new one, but I do have some more. TY TY!
The coupe is for sale in the classifieds. HRP http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=745613
Please be aware that there seems to be a lot of theft to order in the hot/classic/specialty world. One member here had barely finished a similar high quality build that was stolen shortly thereafter. So if someone is sensitive about their license plates, don't take it personally.
Last i heard from Gary was over a year ago. He was getting into the hot rod building thing, i thought. I notice something missing off the back of that old Ford.
Hey Guy's, Grits here. The coupe is still with me, changed my mind about selling it, Just "couldn't do it". Thanks for posting the car JT and it was nice meeting you as well. I've been real busy for the last years or so now. I was spending to much time on the HAMB and had to cut back. As far as my build thread on the coupe and the others I was building, I got spooked about the pictures I had on here after a friend told me he knew of someone that was able to locate my "stuff", I pulled the threads, all of them. After the Hot Turkey car theft, I decided it wasn't worth having all that out there. I'm sure there are many, many pictures of my coupe still on here in many threads. Anyway, I miss all you knuckle heads, hope all are well
My pleasure! Here's another...now I have the full resolution photos and actually printed very well! Here's another teaser!!!
Chainsaw, you were correct. Grits, thanks for the post. Glad all is well for you. As to pics on the net, i get people taking them all the time, even had Japanese tourists get off a bus at a gas station, and snap away. Its the sneaky f*#kers you gota worry about. Anyways, nice to read you.
Years ago there was a guy taking pics at one of our Olds club meetings, but only of the license plates. Later members started having some thefts occur. Seems the picture taker was getting the addresses of the members from the state and stealing parts from their cars. He left town in a hurry after some members had a heart to heart talk with him.
Thanks! So if I were to post a few more photos...could I continue to post them here? Create another thread? If so where?
