What are you folks using for a hood when you make this conversion?

I understand the '32 rad and shell are cut down some.

    Thanks

I also plan to use a Rootlieb. I am using a Walker radiator that is built short for this application, and have trimmed out the lower sides of the grill shell to fit. It is my understanding that the Rootlieb hood will have to be trimmed down to fit. I'd like to hear more from others who have been down this road. Thanks.

So the stock '29 hood will not work?

Yes a stock 28 / 29 hood will work, I've done it, some minor reshaping is required.

Rootlieb. Had to make a template for him and it fit good with minor trimming.
Are you using a 32 frame? Have you moved your cross member? These all come into play a bit.

I did a '29 for a customer several years ago, I called it the "Hot Rod from Hell" because of the many changes the owners wanted... anyway, I used a chopped 32 shell, and at the time, Rootlieb offered a hood for this combo. It worked quite well, after I did some minor trim. Call Rootlieb, they may help

    Thanks all.
Sounds like it can and has been done with success.
