Hey Dutchman if you keep it up( the fantastic workmanship ) you will just be making the rest of us look like hacks LOL ! Truck looks awesome , again thanks for sharing your vision of fantastic ideas .
making the rest of us look like hacks LOL ! please apologize to those of us who are hacks excellent work. its absolutely amazing the skills some people have.
Thanks ! but hey i have seen some more cool stuff on the Hamb have been playing with some metal again tonight still needs to be welded in place but it gives an idea on the overal look, i will get the corners curved inward
ok i have cut some corners this weekend . finished up the rear tailpan, next challenge will be getting the taillight in place
Taillight Time ! earlier i made a die stamp and made some embossings into a sheet, but putting 3 in a row created to much stress and made it wobble and since i needed to make the embossing even deeper, i decided to do it this way then i did some measurements then cut the holes into the tailpan and trimming the die stamped pieces in place and a mock-up how it will look
Good light choice I'd say. Also the recess pockets came out well. Good idea. Hopefully some asshat won't run into it while texting or being on the phone & not paying attention - a growing problem here in the States.
Great work! (again) For those embossings, if you had cut the center out, staying 1/4" inside the 4 small holes the metal would have been able to flow out of the hole and keep the area around the embossings from puckering.
Oh yeah! One of the things I liked when the '65 Chevy Impala's came out was their taillight treatment. Your embossing idea just takes it up another level. Cool beans!
Your right might have been better. But i wanted to keep them closed, because the lamp socket will be in the middle. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
got them all welded in place and grind them down now see when the first lens will be knocked off by one of the ramps
yes we do i may use some license plate bolts with these integrated led lights i am still thinking if i may emboss the license plate into it also
Where did these ramps come from . Super nice. Ineed some for my 3 car trailer. How much do they sell for? Thanks.

probably a goofy idea, but what about rotating lights 180* . that might keep the ramps from hitting taillights. it would let the taillights follow more closely the angle of the roll pan.
ok its been awhile since my last post been working on the 2e fender skirt and finished the locking mechanism on them did also add some metal to the ends to let it flow with the contour of the fender and made some supports brackets for the fenders and finished up the rear and a provision for the license plate
got back on track have been working on the body. adjusting the doors and lines and had to make some clearance on the lower curve following the fender so it would not hit the fender (as i widened the fenders by 1 inch) also worked on the fender radius to it follows the smaller wheel/tire nicer and made a latch on the rear ramp storage door used a latch from the 03 chevy truck donor + a door handle from a 50s chevy truck Uploaded with ImageShack.us
finishing up little things on the interior floor and firewall finished the steering shaft cover and made a deadpedal and covers for the shock bolt location
