Air cleaner ID

    I found this old air cleaner in a scrap pile. It looks mid fifties chevy to me. Can anyone confirm?

    It's late 50's early 60's GM by any rate but I've never seen one that remove element and clean in Kerosene before. Possibly a truck air cleaner off a ton and a half or so that was intended for field work.

    Definitely early to mid 60's. Nice piece too. Most of them get the snout hacksawed off in an effort to increase air flow.

    It is 1962-1966...2 and 4 barrel carbs used the same top portion.

  10. Yep what Henry said. I got on on the garage as we speak. Wish I had two, I want to use them to make a custom setp for a 2x4 I'm building. But they are not a sought after carb cover except by restorers.
