Jamie and I both made it to the island today. Both wives arrived by air also. Awesome weather, looking forward to a great weekend.
No maybe Bucko!!! You can easily ride a bicycle, skateboard, hitchhike (watch for kooks!) walk or take the bus or train. It really is a spectacular show. I am taking the bus to the ferry and a double decker bus from there downtown, all my cars are too newfangled.
Lots of nice cars parked in the down town core Pulled up beside a yellow coupe and the driver asked me if I had seen a black 55 Chevy
My wife and I plan on checking out the show in the Inner Harbour on Sunday. I will post some pics of traditional style cars.
Arrived on Thursday , absolutly one of the most beautiful cities anywhere . here's some shots from the host hotel, an air museum tour and various roadtrip pics .
I'll be taking the '56 F-100 down to Deuce Days tomorrow. It's just over 2 hrs from where i live. 1st time for me!
Well I just got back from Deuce Days. I was only able to attend for the Sunday show. The crowds were huge but the cars were incredible! I took some pics to share. This car was back from the dead and looking GREAT! This was my favourite car of the event. Just gorgeous. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I snapped a ton of pics there too. Man there was a lot of people there. Many too stupid to be out in public. From parents standing their kids on running boards to take pictures, to someone asking me why so many of the cars are 1932 Ford's , to another guy saying "I think it's some kind of Honda accord" Pics to follow
Ya I agree. There were so many people, it was tough to take pictures of the cars. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
This the Victoria inner harbour area in the summertime. Believe it or not even if there was no car show the sidewalks in this area and on Government St. would have been filled with people!
Here's a few from today. more here if you wanna look: http://smg.photobucket.com/user/jay-stevens/library/deuce days 2013?sort=4&page=1 [/IMG]
Thanks steveo for starting this thread. I wouldn't have known about the show otherwise. Large crowds, beautifull setting, perfect weather. Couldn't ask for a better day. Here are a few of the pictures I took.
1951 and older only and you must be pre registered. The City of Victoria has only allocated 1000 parking spots for cars. I understand there were about 500 '32 Fords registered.
I went to the local coffee shop a couple of hours ago and when I was leaving there was a couple 32's across the street at the gas station. I pulled in and looked them over. They said they were on there way back to the Bay area from the show. One was a 32 5 window dark red with ardun heads on it and the other was this black 32 sedan. Tey were nice guys to visit with.
Fantastic weekend. Fantastic weather. Read in the local rag that there was about 160,000 people there. I believe it. It was hard to walk around. It was EXTREMELY well organized, hats off to the volunteer's. And specially Al for organizing. Never saw anyone having a problem. I do agree with JAYMANN though, my god there is stupid people out there. Climbing in a strangers car to get your picture taken is not cool. These where the minority thankfully.
I just went to Brizio site. Both of the cars I saw were Brizio built cars. No wander they were so nice. Brizio's crew can really build a neat car. They alway's have the right look and stance. It was good seeing them being driven.
