I was wondering if you still have the left spare tire fender and spare tire mount and if so would you be interested in selling these?

  3. yes, i still have the left rear fender with the spare tire scallope.
but, i do not have the mounting bracket anymore.
yes, i am willing to sell it, but not willing to ship it. just too big and costly.

complete. i removed the spring loaded stud from the original latch and plug welded it to the new bear claw latch. then, i lengthened the flat bar that connects the inner door handle to that stud.

i finalized the seat back shape. it has the same curvature as the original seat back, but it as 1 1/2" thinner. this gives me an extra 1 1/2" in leg room. now the truck fits me perfectly. my legs are fully extended. before my knees were bent up in an uncomfortable possition when using the pedals. here is the final seat back shap and size. i am going to get the uphostery for the seat back embroidered with the vintage V8 emblem in the center. just need to finalize the artwork for that emblem.

    beautiful work

what did you use for the taillight frenching buckets?

  7. I asked our supplier at work to find me a foot long piece of thin wall tube or pipe with a 4 1/2" I.D. Then next morning he delivered it to me.

If you can't find the right size tubing, speedway sells the frenching buckets for the 1950 Pontiac taillights.

  8. the grill shaped is finalized. i want to remount the Ford front bumper to get a look at the whole package.

Found this thread due to your COE pics. Spectacular is all I can say. Love the grille. Cant wait to see what you do with your COE

  19. I haven't worked on the truck in a while. I did make some nice bumper brackets and get the front bumper mounted up.

Here is a nice grill combo I saw on another site. It would be a nice way to do a 54/55 if you are not crazy about the grill.

For the cab repair work, did you leave the cab on the frame or put it on some sort of stand? I have a cab with a bad floor and bottom corners and I'm wondering if I should try to do the work while its on the frame or take it off and put it on some sort of stand.

  24. I did the rust repairs with the cab still on the frame. You can see the process in the photos on this thread.
