Glad to see the Navy taking care of the Marines. Sea going bell hops

  2. Over the years, I have hauled in and out of the restricted area known as the "Nevada Test Site". I've been to Mercury, north of Mercury approx. 75 miles as well as being to Tolicha Peak. Fords test site isn't near as spooky...

  3. Here's some more "Vintage Shots" from Ontario Canada, mainly Toronto.

Jalopy junkie: those pictures represent as big a slice of America as this site has ever seen, really great stuff, thanks for posting!!!

Bowtie, thanks for the pictures of Toronto, one of my favorite cities! (will never admit that I once made the front page of the Toronto Globe & Mail!!)

Is this the old Sherry's Drive In, out on US-92 just west of Daytona Beach?
There was another out there named Curley's as well way back when.

[IMG] Here is my High School , Mainland High . No AC , but we didn't know that we
were being abused . There have been two successive MHS's since then , and they are/were out near the Speedway . Great old building with an interior courtyard .
Only a very few boys had cars , but more had bikes as you see .

My mother and my Grandmother used to go there quite often back in the day. I'll have to post some pics taken inside by their photographer.

Just when you think this thread could not get any better along comes better still.

Great photographs, some are just pure intrigue.

For those who post thank you very much for your efforts. Fascinating.
