Treat my wife to some of the things she deserves.

The rest'll need a bit more than 10M, but .......

First, I'd need to buy enough arms & ammo to handle all my new "lost relatives, good buddies, and incredible opportunities" to my satisfaction.

Next, I'd pick up a piece of dirt in the toolies, and any small towns too close (say, within 75 mi.). Then I'd be ready for contractors to bid on my garage, strictly real nostalgia drag strip, dry riverbed style paintball field, pad & pool, etc, etc, etc (with apologies to Yul Brynner).

A few, but very few, more good deeds for me. In 67 years I've had far too many wasted, sometimes scorned, and some actually resented.

This last is already under way, but could progress better with more loose change. I'll continue to do what little I might to counter what I see as the pathetic condition of my country's attitude and political structure.

Not particularly noble, but my list, as requested.

Wow let me see. Of course there would be car related things but first of all i would build a new animal shelter here in our town because the one we have is just awful. I would travel the world and meet alot of people that i have messaged with on here and other sites. I would love to spend a week with John Force and his family. A good chunk of it would go to cancer research becuase i have lost too many people that i love to the awful disease. The car things i would do is buy a Nomad because i've always loved them and probably have Chip Foose build me a kick ass car then i would build a warehouse in the field behind my house to display all the car memorabilia that i could get my hands on old signs, gas pumps etc. I think it would be great fun to collect it all.

First of all, if the lottery sign says $10 mil, the actual value is just over half that unless you take the annuity...which does not benefit you. So you get $5 mil but then Uncle Sugar and his crooks take 40% (if you live in a normal income tax state) so you end up with $3 mil. Good rule of thumb is that you get 1/3 of what it says on the Powerball sign. More bad news, you cannot buy a bunch of cars and live forever on $3 million.....unless you only buy one 31 Model A rusty coupe. IF you had $10 mil cash, your investment would/could sustain a nice lifestyle without touching the principal. So, you need to hit PB when it is $30mil or higher. Otherwise, you're still a working stiff....abeit a more comfortable working stiff. Whatever you think, the more $$ you have, the more expensive your tastes become.....whether it be women, booze, cars, or tools, having money cost you more.

If I won today, it would really tick me off that I didn't win 10-20 yr ago. At my age I don't have much more time to enjoy it on cars before I become worm feed, then my kids would get the $$ and they don't give a sh..t about cars.

I would finish my 1949 Fleetline, go buy my uncle's 1949 Mercury in the Pioneer Auto Museum, invest the rest so I could retire from my day job before I am 72(my dad retired at 72 and he is beat up). I would take my ex to court get my kids back. Oh yeah buy a FLHTCU and a bar hopper rigid and build them. Hire a hit man to go find the guy that stole my Harley and my trailer full of all my shop equipment from my last street rod and custom bike shop. If that could happen I would be happy. oh and hookers and blow(I am only serious)

1.Buy a big ol building in a small town here in Minnesota.
2.Fill building with old cars we see so often here on the HAMB.Old customs,rods,drag cars.
None would run but would be great projects and have history.
3.Close doors to building.Become known as the crazy old recluse who hoards old iron.
Read the threads here about what a bastard I am.
4.Let the cars rest for 5-10 years,adding dust to make sure it looks like long storage.
5.After said time period have a well publicized sale and watch 47 threads on it start on the HAMB

Well I would open a Rod shop and build high end Rods and customs. Tour the country to all the big shows, races, Bonny, etc.,<o></o>

Let see some type of contest, of course it will something with cars. Here w/b the rules. I would give each of my closest friends $500,000 and 30 days to buy and register 10 US made (out of state) cars. Each contestant will have a limited cash allowance. Only one car can be purchased from any state. No cars can be purchased at an auction. No E-bay, craigslist, on line websites etc. can be used. Just to keep the guys honest, they w/b require to wear a GPS device. The contestant cannot solicit any outside help. None of the cars can be newer than 1970. Next, they would have to drive (not trailer) them to my shop. You are probably thinking thats w/b the end. HA!<o></o>

Here is where this gets interesting. Each contestant would get another 30 days to sell all ten cars. No brokers. At the end of the 30 days the contestant with no cars and the most money wins. The winner gets to keep the cash. The losers will donate all the earnings and cars (if any) to their favorite charity.<o></o>

Track down and buy back some of the "ones that got away"..... And then have FAB 32 restrained while we organized a build party for his 32 5/W And give it to him finished,... so we could see him killing bugs with it.

Oh yeah.. And just keep throwing piles of cash on the counter until I could buy the California Kid, and the Rizzio 34 coupes..... Whatever would be left,.... Hand over to my wife. (obviously she's better with money than I am... )

I'd buy the local dragstrip and have my own test track. Invite everyone over on Saturdays and race/cook out, etc. and spend it all over the next 10 yrs. on hotrods, women and whiskey. Any remaining $$$$ I would squander.
