guy running it is telling everyone that he has a lot of vendors signed up. also, says that he put on another swap meet in Sacramento with over 1500 vendors. there was a Nor-Cal motorcycle swap meet a while back. maybe that is what he is talking about. no one heard of a car swap meet run by him. norcalautoswapmeet.com

Pretty close to me too, so I'll be there. I think this is the first swap these guys have hosted (in this location anyway) and I hope it turns out to be successful.

It's the first one held at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds, that I know about, and I' ve been in the area for many years. I have a flyer up at work and have gotten positive replies about it, including, "oh, wow I didn't know about this". I'll be there with some stuff from the garage,......parts, signs and maybe some toys. Will be driving my rusty, black and white 59 El Camino, stop and say hello. Mike

Just got back. $10 to park, $8 to get in. Only about 25 vendors. BOOOOOO!

Which is why I didn't go. The $10 parking fee. Last week the fair was there and the Juggers Racing Team had my old car on display, along with several others. people were surprised that I didn't go to see it. $18 to see a car i have seen thousands of times right here? Would you go?

Having b fast and glad I rechecked this thread. That's a lot to just go look, don't mind the fee to enter but parking? Another tax.

  19. I went.. There's free parking on the street, in walking distance. $8 to get in, and there was more than 25 vendors. I was actually pretty impressed. According to their flyers, their having another one in Sept. hopefully it's something that takes off, it's the perfect location. Just my 2 cents.....

I drove around and parked at the other lot near main entrance (free). Walked down side walk and into show...it was past 12:00 and some guy's were packing it in, but never got approached on paying the entrance fee? Hope it takes off in Sept., nice having something local. Was cool...

  21. Nice to meet el Scotto.

Small, but promising, event. Not bad for a first attempt, IMHO. I will likely go to the next one in Sept. It will never be Turlock, but it is close enough to me to be worth taking a look. Parking on street can save $10; then only $8 to look.

Some good parts there, but not a lot of what I was looking for. One guy had some early 327 parts, almost bought some nos stamped valve covers, but did not know value, $80/pair. Not a bunch of non-automotive junk for sale.

I wore my greasy ass HAMB shit and I ran into Russ in the ticket line... Nice guy! :)

He's right, parking was $10, entrance was $8 per 12 and up and anyone coming across the bridge paid a $5 toll.

I brought my little dude, always a good time with him! :)

I scored some great junk that was fairly priced. Complete ready to run drum brakes for the 56 Chevy, a bitchin' huge ass Art Deco Craftsman tool box, ladder bars, and some other great stuff.

The pics are all of my little dude. The swap was sweet. I'll be back again.

    :)

I agree with Russ, I really hope this takes off. I know I read somewhere that they want it to be the Pomona of Northern California, but I think they should limit the amount of swaps to 3 maybe 4 a year. Their next one is only 2 months away.
And El Scotto, that toolbox was a steal— I walked by just as you bought it and was pissed I didn't get there first! That alone makes the trip worth it.
