I like what I am seeing. I love the 58 wagons also. I have been keeping an eye out as well for one to possibly replace the 48 woodie I just sold.

I dig the dog dish caps and thinner white walls..

  3. May just be my computer, but I can't see any of the photos from photobucket.....did
you move them or change anything about them? All I see is some boxes with
    writing in them.

Awwww, Photobucket says you've got too many images stored...time for you to step up to the plate and send 'em some money , and go Pro, so the rest of us can see the pix of your car...

Beautiful car! Looking foward to you clearing it. I messaged you but could you share your clear process as far as how you go about it (from CLR to final product). Looks like Patina on glass when your done. I love "Recession Rodding"!

Pretty much after CLR, just mask off your car or truck properly, blow dry the hell out of it, Prep solvent the car with a couple passes and tack rag it. Then off to loading up your gun with the proper mix of clear and catalyst. ;)

I'm Leary of using the word patina, because it has become so popular, but the look of a true survivor will never go out of style.

    Looks great!

What all do you mask when you clear it? I noticed when you cleared Old Gold you didn't have the side trim or grill and bumper masked in the pictures you posted. You might have done that. I am just wondering.

Also what brand clear do you like to use. Thanks!

Mask everything off or remove what you don't want cleared. Only PPG Concept 2021. ;) For a Long Roof Wagon, you will need at least a Gallon kit and it is going to set you back about $350.00. This covered 4 passes on the roof, and two on the entire body, mixes 4:1:1.

Thank you. I've got a lot more practice of ahead of me to get to where I want to be with lines, but practicing on the regular definitely shows progress! :D

It looks nothing like what it did when it was found.

It was CLR'd, clearcoated and striped.

So the look of a true survivor is gone.

But at least this one doesn't have the ridiculous donk wheels.

So that is a big improvement...

How is it not a TRUE nomad. The owner did not add the name plate. It came from Chevrolet as a Nomad and is still a Nomad today. A true Nomad at that.

I agree with 110% However, the Hardcore tri-five guys turn their noses up when they see a four-door Nomad as it is sacrilegious to own one of these beauties. :D

Cool wagon. The WW tires and white wheels with caps really set it off.
