Just a casual drive back to the pits? Thinking about some changes, or how to explain that missed shift? Gary

Ron, I just liberated it from another HAMB thread and added the wise cracks. Nothing to it. Gary

Super nice ride! At first I thought you might be English... as I think their rods are required to pass a fording test to be elligible for the Hayride! Gary

  6. Ha! Ha! "Bridgeport SPL" was given that name by the builder, in honor of Bridgeport, CT which is/was considered the machinist capitol of the world.

I wanted to take a shot from the car's other side but the creek's a whole lot deeper over there!

Pic taken somewhere around Appleton Store, which is near where the last Confederate stand was made in Tennessee during the War Between the States; probably Sugar Creek near county lines. Around here many county roads don't have bridges where the county lines are defined by creeks.

Just saw this - photoshopped in front of The Royal Crescent, Bath, England (the shadows don't look right to me).
    Great lookin' little car.

  11. Hope we get to meet you at the Detroit Autorama next month. The Ghost Rider Roadster will be in the lower level this year and we plan on morphing it every day around 3:00 from the street version to the land speed version. The new show card that Myles (son that works for free :D) reflects what we plan on doing. We will be looking for you !

  16. To answer post #403 about the former Pete Allen car out of Ohio. This car would've ran between 1947 to about 1952-3.

One from our area in Canada, flathead power, raced on a circuit in the late forties-early fifties. Everything's as is, looks like you could fire it up and go.

What a great thread, funny how you can miss something on the HAMB an spend a good part of an evening looking at it. Way back on post #212 hotrd32 posted this photo. I found this one while looking for another car photo in Veda Orr's Lakes pictorial that was published in 1947. Bob upload_2017-3-4_3-15-29.png
