When I am done with the UGLY coupe I will be in the market for another body that I want to build in a 50s style with all the right parts and bare bones. Hemi,T5,splits on both ends, etc.

Plumbed the brake, trans and fuel lines this weekend and just about ready to break it all down for blasting and paint. Then I will get on the body to try and fix UGLY!

I doubt this really matters to anyone but, I have made good progress on this rod over the past few weeks. Finished the dash and frame reset body on for bracing and getting ready to put custom touches to the windshield and the rear top of body area. I changed my mind on adding the roof and leaving it as hoopty. I haven't decided on rear lights yet and will replace the pan soon before lights anyway. Just a few pics of progress! I have really taken UGLY to a new level.

The past few evenings have been busy with fixing Ugly's problems. I started with lowering the dash rail and raking the windshield. Filled a few spots and changing the rear area around the top and then fix the floor. Changed the rear pan to get rid of the trailer tail lights I have most of the work completed and now I am on to the trunk area and do finish work to slick it all up. A good bit done and a lot more to do!

I had planed to replace the top and changed my mind. I decided to add a removable top made of Alu.. I am just trying to polish a turd and feel good about driving it across the country!

Yes I went back to the old doors. Going back was going to cost just about what I can get another coupe for. I found one close by that is slick and solid for a good price. I would not dare cut up a good set of doors like I have spare.

Finished the floor and trunk area then worked on firewall and toe board. Added steering column and tank with battery tray. Left the wiring out till I get the car back from getting the windshield area fix for glass. This is turning out good and with a little more work I will be close to slicking for paint. Here are a few pics of the progress.

Windshield frame and hood done then added headlights and tail lights finished exhaust now on to finishing touches before busting it all back apart for paint. Won't be long before it is ready for a test drive.
