That sedan is badass. Love the stance, color, dash, the whole 9 yards as they say. Great style and best of luck with it !

  3. I have to say I did the same thing. I really dig the maroon & white.

  4. I am also very interested in the paint color info, was just going to start hunting down a solid maroon and this looks like it could be the one.

This is how you take a car from "blah" to "bad ass".

Man that looks great! I was looking for things I would change if it was mine.....it is hard but the only things I think I might do differently would be an "A" shell and a cloth roof insert. All in all great job!

Damn, that looks just about perfect... Can't wait to see it 100% finished!

  8. thanks guys...

regarding paint. Turns out my painter is a prick who will not respond to any of my text of phone calls so, next week I plan on going to AJ Foyt Paint here in Houston and have them match one of my maroon parts. Once I have their match I will share it with you guys.

  9. I gotta say, I like E&J's a lot better when they're painted.

  10. thanks.. agreed. I got a lot of grief over that when I told people I was going to have them painted. Now that they see them, I think they like them. Or they are just being nice. ha...

    Wow.... just.... wow.

Thanks for the inspiration. When I grow up to build a hot rod I want it to be just like yours!

Car looks great. One critique would be to lose the gigantic tall shifter. Looks really out of place with the traditional theme you have going on. Nice color choice!

It's cool. We all had big shifters back in the day. Never forget the time my buddy put the brass gearshift knob I built him clean through the passengers side windshield during the heat of battle.

    Great thread and cool build.
Perfect way to start my day.

I drove a friends car the other day who had the same shifter.
Freaked me out a little as it seems like it could accidentally shift into reverse.
In my head the length and the weight gives it so much leverage.
There is a lock on it so he said not to worry.
Didn't drive it enough to get used to it.

    My thoughts exactly!

so I don't have to spin upside down everytime I need to check a fuse I hinged my fuse box and have it held in place with a thumb screw

I got my plexiglass cover mounted this weekend. I made a cork gasket to seal off the gauges.

I mounted my seat belt and driver's seat

I got bored and decided to pin stripe my sedan...

I have since removed the stripes from the grille shell and added the garnish with Ford logo.

for those wondering if you are seeing things, yes, I changed the pin striping. I wasn't happy with it so I removed it all and mixed a better shade of paint to match the firewall and wheels and did it again. I did change the design on the radiator shell.
    stay tuned...
