A little over a month from now, MoKan Dragway is gonna be littered with the sounds, smells, and sights of traditional hot rods blasting down the quarter-mile two at a time. I literally can't fathom the thought of it all being so close - so much to do...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
I've gotta jump in here and mention the auction too. Anybody coming to the Drags throw something in your trunk that you can donate. Anything us traditional gear heads would like is cool. Things can also be mailed to me. Address is in the link in my signature line.
Great treatment of the pics. Who wouldn't be enthused after seeing these. I particularly dig this one.
Pooch, 55 down? Good looking car! I just love the fact a show in the Midwest and a track that takes you back to the basics, a great vibe at this event. My hope is to run the '42 at it in the next few years, good reason to keep motivated!
Patiently waiting for the circus act to roll into town. I'll be hosting a morning gathering doughnut feed at my shop. Info will be posted in the hamb drag section soon.
Sat am before the track opens, kinda give the folks something to do other then rush to the track and make a mess out on the hwy!
Just reserved our rooms and can't wait. No racing for me this year but it's gonna be fun just the same. We're probably taking the granddaughter for her first drag race event. She's almost four, time to start getting her interested.
Cool, thanks for using a pic of our dragster in your blog post (injected). Anyone who is going to have kids with them, bring them by to sit in the dragster. We bring a helmet and facemask for pics and give em a sticker or something. Ask for Scott. Red "Snookys" FED
