I know their are threads asking for panel truck pics but I just wanna know who owns a panel truck and what pics you have. Thanks
In the yellow that looks incredible...it really shows of those beautiful curves, everything just flows and makes me like mine even more to know what it can become.
It is...the only thing that would be better then a 38 ford panel would be a 37 Hudson terraplane panel truck, if I had one I would never want to own another truck again.
I have also been looking around for a different wood for the rear floor of the truck rather then white oak, and I have descided to make it a bit different and go with Purple Heart with the Ss trim and fittings.
my file system is... non existant BTW... If you can catch that stance I think your onto something, those are great trucks
The frame it is on is the original with a gm front clip, but the guy who owns it is having it back as he cut the vin number off and I need that to get it on to the uk, but the guy that is building it for me has a 38/39 ford pickup frame for it which is the same as the panel chassis. I want to keep as much of the original frame as I can, just adding strength mustang ifs and a different rear.
I'm always amazed by the way the vehicles from the late 20's and 30's kinda had the stance as if they were going to pounce at you.
I do like the look of that police ambulance...I was thinking of the idea of having mine as a hot rod ambulance, I started on the drawings of it a couple of months back, and liked the idea of it being two tone.
Looking through the cars for sale section i see all the panel trucks that were advertised have been sold before most other vehicles...they are getting popular...so their must more pictures/ projects of any panel trucks.
I've always loved panel trucks, here is my 55. SBC powered W/R700R4 Trans Thinkin hard about selling it now?
If you like the Terraplane, you might like something else unusual like this REO Speed Wagon. Dad is building a Speed Wagon pickup
Great old advertisement. The ultimate want i ever saw for sale was a 37 terraplane panel truck, guy wanted $25000, all stock. I know i will never see another one again ( but i can always dream )
Mine are kinda late model for this thread. Mine '64 is my daily driver and newest model year vehicle, the '54 has a 390 so daily driving might get expensive .
I like this panel listed on Hemmings: http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/diamond_t/unspecified/1533260.html
My daily driver , everything below the tin is new , original drivetrain, the other 55 chev has great sheetmetal , and NO taillights in the rear quarters , That is why I got it , Also have a 51 GMC one ton , and a 48 Chev sedan delivery, The other pic is my landlord's Baker boy bread truck , RARE
