    Good luck with the car. Most guys I know would bend over backwards to help a girl get her car going. Hope it works out.

    Not sure if anyone mentioned this but if it was running 15 years ago, remove old battery (if present) replace with a known good battery. Clean connectors until they shine before connecting them to the battery. If everything works you know that much works.
    Then i guess you could see if the engine turns over. If not but the starter makes a loud clunk when the key is turned i guess you would have to take the spark plugs out and pour a little automatic transmission fluid mixed 50%/50% acetone down the holes with an oilcan. Let that soak for a day or so and see if the engine turns over better.

    Just guessing at this.

    Hey guys! Thanks for such a warm welcome! I haven't been able to log on to HAMB for awhile...but I'm back and ready to go! Actually got the Merc to backfire through the carb the other day...getting excited but running into some problems! Nice to meet you all:)

    why is it when i stand on my engine and my toes show up in the picture no one thinks its cute????
    btw if you end up looking for parts there are 2 places i found that help alot. one place is Desert valley auto parts i work right around the corner from them . And then there is big M on here he is very helpful .
    btw that is an awesome year car .
