You've done a nice job on that truck, dude. Keep up the good work.

If you haven't already done so, post a link to your first build thread in this update thread. Then, go post a link to this thread in your old one, so people can continue seeing your progress.

Or put a link in your signature.

Good work man! Its cool to see young people doing this..I don't wanna be the only 80 year old wack-job that loves hot rods, in 60 years. There's a TON of knowledge in hot rodding, hopefully we can gather some of it from those willing to share and keep it alive.

Also, I find it hilarious that you're a "Senior Member" and still a "Minor" from a legal standpoint. Keep up the good work!

LOL Jon. "Build it and they will come" Great responses here from fellow Hamb'rs who have felt your challenges and struggles with their own builds and appreciate your passion drive at a young age. Its the youth like you that will keep this hobby alive and pass to the next generation. Its been an honor for me as well to have had the opportunity to help you with this truck. As I stated before your Grandpa is looking down at his legacy with a huge smile on his face.. Surely proud!!

  15. Not sure what exactly my dream project would be. I would like to someday buy my Grandpa's old 52 studebaker back or build one like it as a tribute to him.

What a fun read! It is so good to see a young man so interested in this hobby. I am sure many of us see a little of our own teen years in your thread Jon. Keeth your time and efforts in helping Jon were well spent. Hope you both have many more years of fun playing with Hot Rods! Oh, and Jon, hang onto that Hailee girl.

  23. Jon-great build. Your truck looks great. The Volare subframe is a really great piece. That is what I put under my old truck(my truck was a 57 Chevy that was named the Roadkill Pickup). The ride and handling are fantastic. Keep up the good work.
    Later,
    Dick

I think it would be a great project, kind of a tribute to your Gramp. Is that you in the front seat? 52's aren't done too often, but I'm sure you could do it justice.

  27. Dude, already been covered in the first build thread. Titled as a 59 but has a 60 front clip.
Yes that is me in the front seat. My Grandpa painted the car red but I always liked it black. It was on CL a few months ago..sighh
