I picked up this cruiser on a trade, looking to see if anyone is familiar with them, or have any ideas for me. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I would like to change the engine out at some point. I need something that is a little bit faster, I realize this car isnt ever going to hit the strip, but still need something that can get me moving. Please any ideas??

Check out p15-d24 web site. Up grade brakes to disc (several sources available), T5 trans, ford explorer, jeep cherokee, dodge dakota rear ends work. Power steer from ugly truckling, rack and pinion. The flat head sixes are very dependable, but will never very fast. Good luck.

Welcome from CA. Checkout scare bird for brake conversions. Use the search button for engine swaps.

Welcome from another Wayfarer nut. Mines a stock convertible, for now at least. This winter it's gonna get discs and some engine upgrades. Good luck, like said before, there's plenty of Wayfarer builds you can get ideas from if you do a search. Look at some of the Plymouths builds also, especially Blueskies.
