  2. Nori, I can not read a thing there. It looks newer, 1960s? Do you know the size?

    yes size is ...

    Trunk diameter : about 47.7cm

    The trunk circumference: about 150cm

    Full length: 355cm

    Weight: 39kg

    * 1inch = 2.54cm

    If i am decoding the 3.55M correctly it is right at 12 ft long. If the 47.7 is correct it.s 18.77 inches in diameter which is a bit skinny but might work for a smaller framed person who wanted to run a small engine in it. It sure wouldn't hold my 280 lbs.

    I'm thinking it's off a 60's/70's plane that was stationed in Japan.

    The key might be if someone recognizes the part number on the fuel cap on it. 416-50 ASSY might be a cap that was used a lot or it may have been only used on that style of tank.

    no clue what it says. it looks to be late 1960s though. if Mr48Chev is correct and it is is in fact 18.77" across, i think you're going to have a ton of trouble fitting you and the safety equipment into it. the highly sought after P38 tanks are 36" wide, and they're still pretty cramped when you get in them.

  6. Here is the translation of the description;

    It is an old fuel tank increase. (Age, unspecified)

    Pain of aging, please understand that attrition, rust, etc. peeling paint. (There is no big dent)

    About 47.7cm trunk diameter size: (18 25/32")
         About 150cm waist (59 1/16")
         About 3.55m length (11.65 feet)
         About 39kg weight (85.8 lbs)

    Thank you judge us in the pictures (images). Please question unclear point.

    We think is it a you unreasonable very ask, but would like to thank in person as a condition to have you participate in the auction, it is possible to direct receipt arrange delivery or can do with yourself.

    Is located in Miyazaki Prefecture Nichinan product.

  7. Looks small Nori. My lakester is a tight fit for me with a 20 inch by 20 inch cockpit.

  8. tank seems too small to me.
    I guess it depends on what you are going to do with it.
    If your intention is to race it, you need much larger, like Ø30" and 14 ft long.
