Coffee Table Books...

I have some Amazon birthday money to kill, and wanted to know the best bang for my buck on a good coffee table book, lots of pics? Maybe something on Barris, or Jeffries? I have $25 to use. Open to suggestions!

 

Amazon sells everything, get some car parts, oil filters, etc. if you have a wife she'll have the coffee table car book hidden in a few weeks anyway. Search books on here lots of threads, the smokey yunick books are good but out of print,

 

First you need a good coffee table to put the book on

 

depends on where your true interests are - Kustoms, drag racing, etc

 

you want barris,kustoms etc..get rik hovings book about jack stewarts ford,well worth it

 

Some favorites are:

Art of the Hot Rod, by Ken Gross
Hot Rod: The Photography of Peter Vincent, by Peter Vincent
'32 Ford Deuce: The Official 75th Anniversary Edition, by Tony Thacker

The first two are inexpensive on Amazon, especially used....you could buy both.

Other good ones are sold by The Rodder's Journal...Scrapbook, Deuce, 50 Years of Rod & Custom. Some other good ones are Lost Hot Rods, Hot Rod Garages, blah blah. Just do a search on Amazon.

Those are a couple off the shelves at my current house. I have a bunch of really cool ones at the girlfriends house and the parents house, but I'd have to wait a little to get you some titles. None of these are in order but #6 and #21 are my FAVORITE and you will NOT be disapointed!

I tend to pick up a lot of rod books off there off the used list.

 

The best book was left off of everybody's list: The American Hot Rod by Dean Batchlor

 

If you choose not to decide, you still have made a Choice

 

I would get an old motors repair manual.

 

And I will choose free will.

 

I like coffee table books about coffee tables.......
