That sounds like a ton of fun, but I need an interpreter to be sure.

  7. Right - Roy's turn now. First time out this year after competing at Prescott last year I think - good to see ya!

Roy had a few engine problems - luckily Jim and Pete were there to cure 'em. Modern plugs just ain't all that good sometimes it seems.

The wife has traced our family name back to England in the 1600's. It is on our "bucket list" in the next few years to walk the ground of our ancestors and after looking at the beautiful scenery from your pictures I am even more inspired to make that happen. Thanks for sharing.

great cars and folks having some real grass roots fun with them it doesn't get much better then that folks......

  11. Right then - Jim's turn. This is where they had us patiently waiting whilst the previous batch of cars came back down the hill. Nothing incongruous there...

  13. And finally scruffy ol' me.

Grinning like a buffoon waiting for our first run.

Mind you - it was clean enough after the rain to eat his lunch off... Nice handbag.

We were well received at Gurston - plenty of other competitors and spectators came for a look see.

I didn't make any starts worth looking at but here's me trying to be dramatic further down the track. For reference we were hitting roughly 70mph near the bottom of the hill and across the line and completing the 1057 yard course between 44 and 50-odd seconds. The single seaters were doing nearly 140mph and down to 25 seconds, so only twice as fast...

Man that looks cool. Closest thing to that we have in Myrtle Beach would be ripping around a golf course cart path. mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm not a bad idea.

  17. Class Z has finished for the year but we're all off to party on the hill at Prescott this weekend for the Autumn Classic.

I've entered in the '27 Mercury Tourer on account of the modified's bottom end became a little clattery at our last outing to Curborough...
