Does anyone know if there is a difference between the 1962 and 1963 Cadillac 390? I am looking to put a 390 in one of my vehicles and i don't want to buy the wrong one.
I would not recommend a 1963 motor. Totally different than the 62 and earlier. Lots of 1 year only stuff. Basically the predecessor to the 429 engine. Would recommend the 1960-62 390 as they had a provision for a "spin on" oil filter.
'62 390- Last of the early motors. They're pretty. '63 390 First (kinda hybrid) of the next gen. They're not as pretty.
