I really appreciate the comments from everybody. They're fuel for the build.

The ladder bars will toe in just a bit to run along at the same angle as the frame rails. The mount point for the ladder bar is 52 inches, exactly half the wheelbase.

It really depends on which piece. I suppose the inner ladder bar mounts were completed over about 2 -2 1/2 days working pretty much only in the evening.

I'm certainly trying to get it tuned up and ready. I had the motor fired Sunday with the new heads only to have some more intake issues. With any luck the motor will be going back together tomorrow afternoon and a spool will be in the rearend before the weekend is over. Meltdown Drags or bust!

Thank YOU! Yes, after talking to you about it, the coupe will definitely get a scatter shield.

  20. Wow! Did this car end up in the right hands!

  21. I've got to say that Ryans coupe ranks right up there with other stellar builders like "Brian Bass"... "David Littleman"... "Little Chris"... to name a few!

We should have a poll to vote the most awesome build on the HAMB!

    How cool would that be?

    Any Wagering? Hahaha!

I've never really been a fan of fenders on a Model A,but this car just looks so damn right!I couldn't imagine changing it.Looks tough as nails!

I have no updates to show at the moment. We have collected more parts for the build that I am pretty excited about, but I will post those up when we get to that point in the build. My dad and I have both been very busy working the last couple months, and with signs of things slowing down to a manageable pace in the near future, I have designs on tearing back into this project to make some real progress.

Gearing up to again. I had a welding job that was bigger than the estimate (bonus). It's been a construction madhouse around here with my old man building a home edition etc. Finally got the heat hooked back up in the garage last Saturday.

I made some rear axle jig plates for holding the rearend location while fabbing the rest of the rear suspension. The body is dropped on and fenders bolted back up to check the rearend location and ride height before welding stuff up.

Also, the cylinder heads are now built and ready to go. Still need an Isky cam to complete the rest of the internal motor components. I have a steering box for it and some old column components lined up from a friend that came out of a Willys gasser.
