The first pic is of the car the day we brought it home memorial day weekend 2011. Had a set of wheels that we used up front and in the rear just to see what it looked like. Had no idea at that point what we had. The second pic speaks for itself. Unreal how this thing brought so many together and made so many friends. Look forward to seeing everyone at the CHRR. I also need to thank the guys at the HAMB. Without this site, our journey would have had more trials and tribulations. Thanks so so much.

If the cars in the background were of the same era as the rail, you would swear that its 1967. Fantastic piece of workmanship on a really cool car. Modified roadsters were a great class.

  6. Looks beautiful! I look forward to checking it out some time,

Bill Pitts was also kind enough to get some video and give it his little twist of finesse. Look up either "Ricky's garage" or "vintagedragsters" on you tube.

Saw these on eBay...it was a stats card that they used to either sell or pass out. Has some pretty interesting stats on it. I didn't buy it cause it went for $212!!!!
    Thought I'd share :)

This is the car with the barn door injector running at lions. That red impala was the pushcar. How cool is this pic? Pretty damn cool.

That was fire up #5. Put a blank in the hat and we were pushin lots of fuel. Need to take a few flats out but exhaust temps were 350-475...not bad for a couple minutes. Shooting for the 4 minute run time.

This is a video from the AAA show in Costa Mesa. This is Gary's first time in the car since 1967. He saw the car on Friday night or the first time. He's very stoic but we were able to evoke some emotion from he, Marie his wife and frank Beels his old crew guy. Itwas pretty awesome.

This is the original crew guys from way back. 1 was missing...from left to right
Chris kielich Frank Beels Gary of course and Willie Stone. Gary's daughters showed up with their kids and husbands. Some of them haven't seen each other in years. This made every bit of time, effort and $$$ worth it. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1374458681.504765.jpg

So the pic she's me and Gary looking at a slight scuff that Gary put in the car getting out. Do we care...no way. I would prefer Gary putting the first scuff on the car. Either way it wiped right off. Awesome....

Restoration continues...a used set of Avon Speed Masters. Turns out these were on the rims that came with the original hubs that were on this car. There is a very very good chance that these are theee tires that were on this car when it was parked. There's some wear but it's pretty damn cool.
