Rebuilding the suspension of a 53 chevy. Aside from a vise what other tools do I need to make my life easier? Thx

A "Motor's " manual or shop manual for the correct way some of the parts come apart.

BIG FUCKING HAMMER! I just redid the front end on my falcon. I found various pry bars, an air chisel to cut some stubborn nuts, and a set of ear muffs quite handy. Really suggest the ear muffs, bangin away on a front end is a great way to make your ears ring.

  6. Go to chevytalk.com. Look under the 49-54 Chevy forum. Up at the top of the first page is a step by step photo tutorial on rebuilding your front suspension. I did mine on my 50. Not hard to do by any means. I got all my rebuild stuff from Kanter.

Ok got most of the ft tore apart. On the upper/inners ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1375659463.078193.jpg . I'm having trouble threading the opposite side in. Suggestions? I didn't want to torch it off and put myself in a bigger pickle.

What's the best way to remove the race off the ft spindles. What tool can I use. I'm at a stand still on the ft suspension till they are removed.
