Pretty neat how the 2 pictures almost look to be in the very same place, landscape is very similar, even the tow rigs kind of look alike at first look.I know I need to go back to bed now. Harvey
I bought a Model A in The Morrow Bay California area a couple of years ago. Picked up a used trailer, and headed out for New Orleans. I was by myself and had a great time towing it home behind my halfton Silverado. All went well for the 2080 mile trip... until the last 40 feet! While backing into my driveway I caught the mail box and destroyed the fender and headlight assembly on the pickup. Your photo reminded me the trip.
I saw a '59 Chevy Fleetside on a trailer in traffic just a couple of days ago. Looked like it had just been pulled from a long slumber somewhere. Tried to get a pic but couldn't get it lined up. Figures! Whenever you need a red light everything's green!
Mickey, did you get an RPU that was here, there used to be a green 29,stock, around here for years and no one knows where it went, plus I believe there was rodded black one and its been gone for a while also.
Here's one from several years ago returning to FL from Sparks, GA. The 3900 pound Merc and the trailer weighed more than the truck.
The A I bought is a 31 coupe. It was in the local auto trader for a good while. I actually picked it up in Cambria. I did be long to a guy from Paso Robles at one time.
I may have one of those. I bought a mostly black one with green underneath. Banger powered and fenderless with 35 wires from jason at bear metal customs.
Here in the NW Boonies of Floriduuu I see almost daily, at least weekly, someone hauling a finished car or project on a trailer up or down rt 19-98- alt 27. All the same road. Makes me smile!
Speaking of trailers I decided to step it up a notch and built this instead of hauling the Senior Dragster in the back of the truck. It is also very popular at cruise nights. Don
