  4. OK, so I have collected enough gas/drum pedals to outfit the entire percession section. I figured it was about time to actually one of them in the car! I had always planned on using the Ghost pedal in the first picture, but when I went to mock it up, it was freaking HUGE in there! So, back to the stash of pedals. I have several of the Ludwig "Speed King" pedals, but they didn't quite fit or look right either. Then I found this really old "Ludwig" pedal, and it was just the right size. Plus, it already came with the holes in it from the factory, so it matched the steering wheel and the shifter perfectly. I'm sure that there is some drum geek out there banging his head on the keyboard right now, but too bad! What do you think? I know...carpet is on the list of things to do.

Here's the one I'm putting in my '35 - it's a Ludwig "New Speed Pedal" made from 1936-1950.

Looks good! How did you attached it over your other pedal?

  8. Ha! I have one like that, too!

The one that I used is slightly older, from the 1920's I believe. Where you have a two piece pedal with a "hinge" to pivot, mine is a one piece design with "ears" on the back allowing it to pivot, like a see-saw. I drilled all the way through the existing pedal, and ran a long cotter pin all the way through both "ears".

  9. The allusive and highly overrated barn door gas pedal. :D HRP

Someones high school project. Not a great pedal but a lot of character with the Wilson High, 61 scribed in the back.

For $5 this Kenworth pedal can join the collection....

I have no idea what the original application for this one was...

  17. Here is a really nice little pedal I picked up a while ago at the CHRR swap meet. It is a little bit bigger than a dimmer switch pedal and high quality, I was told it was made for running those scaled down engines. I have a secret plan for it.

These are really cool. I never knew that there were so many different makes. I've thought about looking for a set that match left to right and then use them for floorboards on my Harley.

I see this, scroll through the whole thread thinking "Sweet! I've got that rectangular moon pedal, and no one else does." Then the very last post...

Well, actually I suppose mine's a bit different.
