Did you have any trouble with mounts or space fitting in the auto trans...? Did you have to replace axle? Reading whole thread now in case you stated it already. Thanks.

started frenching the headlights. im exited because this is my first kustomization on the car and im doing it all by myself without my dads help. i had to grind the old screws off, then ground the ring around the bucket off. now it will be mounted behind the fender instead of the front. this will recess the headlight about a quarter of a inch. then i will weld the headlight bezel on witch will extend the fender around the headlight. there's a pic with stock headlights and one of how it sist into the fender now after frenching without the bezels welded on yet.

I bought new plugs and points and checked the firing order and the timing and it still ran like crap but then I bypassed the tank and hooked it up to a can of fresh gas and it ran like a top. So I drained the tank and took the gas tank out to try to clean it out. Anyone know of a good cleaning agent to clean the tank? I used lacquer thinner a half gallon at a time but do be careful. Add some river rocks and agitate it a bit.... drain, repeat 3 or 4 times. And let it dry out a few days

I used pressure washer soap with phosphatizer and a couple hands full of marble sized rocks in the tank. I then jacked up one side of my lawn tractor and, ratchet strapped it to the wheel and let it idle. A friend stopped by and had to take pictures. He thought it was pretty funny!

Take it to a radiator shop. They can clean it out.

The truck was more my dads work unfortunately because I had finals week.

Now for the fun stuff, I've got the headlight rings mostly welded in il finish once we get some more wire. It ain't pretty but I'm using flux core mig so its not too smooth. eventually I wanna get a tig.

Today I undercoated the bottom on the new truck pans and I finished the welding on the headlight. I ground down the welds and put some fiber glass filler on.

i paid 300 for them both and i cant remember the exact number but they were pretty low mileage. they were pulled out of a kiddie train at a zoo so they didnt go over like 6 mph around a small track most there life.

Update: been shooting sandable primer on different things and blocking them. While I've been working on body work and frenching the other headlight my dad did a really good job on the trunk it looks brand new ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373136315.944238.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373136334.818541.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1373136350.586304.jpg
