Hi all, I am in need of some accurate info related to the interchangability of front clip parts between 1951 Plymouth models. I have front end body damage on my 2 door club coupe (sedan) and I have located a donor car which is a business coupe. Can I use the Fenders (trim too), hood, grill, innerfenders, splash pan, bumpers....ie front clip parts.....from the business coup to replace my damaged club coupe parts? Also, will I be able to say my club coupe is all stock if I make the change. I have never worked on body panels before......just mechanical. Does anyone know this from experience or can you refer me to someone quick. If the donor car parts will work then I need to buy it asap. Any info would be appreciated. Thx you very much for reply. Any idea if my 1950 inner fender wells for 1950 car will work with a 1951 fenders and hood. That is...are 1950 and 1951 inner fenderwells identical? My guess is no due to the different hood design between 1950 and 1951.
They redesigned a lot of stuff for the '51 model year, mainly in the front clip and also in the cowl and windshield area making them a little wider so I would assume the inner fenders would be a little different and not interchangeable.
The 49and 50 Plymouth parts are interchangeable and the 51 and 52 are interchangeable, but 49,50 will not fit 51,52. Plymouth was changed in 51.
