  1. Very nice. Live with it for a while before you change anything. It's a dignified looking car. Make a killer Bomba.

You ain't kiddin'...the cove formed by the fender and hood is very comfortable. You can almost lay down in it. Just don't scratch it with the rivets in your jeans. I can almost smell that old Buick. My Grandpa's cars smelled of bait, farts and Skoal wintergreen chew. Better than it sounds...lol.

You're gonna have to research this, Tatz...'cause I'm not sure. As I said earlier, I thought that "Riviera" for that era only designated the hardtops. But that bit I included says the longer wheelbase 4drs were designated Riviera. But it was Wikipedia, and they're not always right. Regardless, just measure your wheelbase to see if it's the shorter Touring or the longer...uhh, other one.

That's a good point. Sometimes the foam breaks down and becomes dust. Hope not. It's difficult to get at the underside of the front seat. But easy enough to pull the back seat and check. Should do that anyway to clean and look for old coins.

    I totally agree!

Nice car. I would have bought it in an instant, as would most of the guys here on the HAMB. Ignore the smart asses and wise guys, they're just trying to compensate for having a low IQ and a short willie.

Those are maps from the 50's, the hood chain and spring when I carried large luggage, her driving gloves, the monkey links for snow chains which are in trunk, and all here AAA paper work. One of the maps is a vintage NYC map

Thats a nice old car in great condition. Since this website is not for stock or restored cars and Buicks were never traditional hotrods, are you going to make a custom out of it? HAMB=traditional hotrods and customs

OK, it exists, and you have it, and it is, aside from having too many doors, a nice old car. Good for you. Now, have some fun with it, and no more asking questions about washing a car, OK?

Man -- that is one toothy grille. That is an awesome find even if it is a more door, it's pretty sweet. Enjoy the ride with all your friends aboard.

Here is the 46 Buick I found advertised here on the HAMB last year. The owner had pulled it out of a barn and got it running. I bought it, cleaned it, and buffed out the old paint. I also did a lot of engine work and got it running decently. So, If you buff your paint, your car should put this 1946 to shame.

Why does every not like 4drs. I don't have to move the seat to let people out they can come and go as they please and it the four doors always remind me of mafia movies.

    Nice find!

I have been lucky enough to buy several old one and two owner cars that were loaded with souvenirs. Even some of the receipts can be enjoyable. Tire or battery receipts while traveling at ridiculously low prices, for instance.

    Enjoy

  26. Because they are sheep??

Leaves the four doors at a reasonable price for the rest of us.
