Use some of that dihydrogen monoxide they sell, but be careful I've heard its dangerous and can kill if used in large quantities.

Pee on it to cut some of the initial dust, it'll take awhile. Perhaps invite some friends over for beverages. The above clip of Susan George is mesmerizing.

It breaks my heart to see this frivolous talk of the wanton destruction of our pristine patina. Do I have to remind EVERYONE what an ecological disaster it is to wash this priceless treasure into the storm drains of our oceans and waterways. People, let's remember the gay baby whales out there.

Please remember to gather up that patina in a biodegradable container and take it to the nearest recycling center where it can be re-purposed or sent to one of the many patina deprived regions of the world.

I'd definitely use a chamois with genuine Saskatchewan sealskin bindings.

The main thing is to soak it good so the dirt softens up and dissolves as much as possible. Then hose it off. Then wash the regular way being careful not to grind the dirt into the paint, in other words go easy. If a gob of dirt or bird shit won't come off let it soak a while longer.

I use a big spray bottle from the hardware store with warm water and a shot of car wash soap. Keep the finish wet for a couple of hours then wash it off. Working inside a garage I use a 5 gallon pail of warm water and an old towel to wash off the dirt. Keep rinsing the towel and turn to a fresh spot as it gets dirty. A car the size of the Buick may take 2 or 3 towels and 2 or 3 pails of water.

O ya if you have an air hose blow off loose dirt first.

I usually just whip out my hose and spray it down, then I just lightly rub it till its clean.
