EDIT, it's a 52 (better mechanic than typist)

not very long, up and down the alley twice......
still missing a fender and 100's of little things still to do, but decided today was the day. I've got other projects going on, but hoping this little drive will motivate me to get back to working on this regularly....

Nice job, what chassis is it on? I really like it, it looks like it was always supposed to be that way. Hope the stool didn't suffer too much.

I like your truck but why is it on a traditional hotrod/custom forum?

How about because it is a cool truck that fits right in the traditional mode when the bed is down (they did have hoists on flatbeds in the early 50's though) and it looks like it would be a great tow/push rig for a belly tank dry lakes racer.

Right!! A pic of a stock duece, or A, or even a Crosley hasn't been questioned; wonder if the engine is a big block....

I hate how everyone has to justify their fucking ride here to other posters! Kinda takes away from the forum as a whole. I like seeing the cool old projects everyone has going on, not page after page of 'This is kinda OT' dickheads bantering about why the thread starter should go somewhere else.

That is an awesome truck man, I hope to see more of it around here! Do you have any pictures of the interior or what is going on under the hood?

Congrats man. Cool looking piece of machinery. Is the frame modern with a cab/bed swap?

thanks for the compliments, been awhile since I've done much posting on any boards.....

to answer a couple questions, it has the original frame and cab but that's about it. i converted to 4 wheel drive, extended the wheelbase about 6 inches to match the Model AA flatbed. (never liked the look of single wheel flatbeds so I narrowed sterling rear axle 6" on each side)

I refer to it as a "Resto-Mod", but you can call it anything you like.

It actually has more recycled and custom made parts that it looks at a glance (and that's partly what I was going for) looks like and old farm truck at first, but at close inspection nothing is left un modified.

has a straight 300 with some mild work, and a custom made 3 x 1 carb setup....

I LIKE that truck! Neat stuff. Got any more pics of the intake manifold? Looks like it might be similar to FTF's 3X1 using three one carb intakes to make it??? Great air filter covers too...From what?
    Thanks:

that's what i'm going for with a lot of this truck, looks like at a glance it could have came factory...

air cleaners are from 1 and 1/2 Corvairs..

I did make the intake from 3 factory 1 barrel intakes and alittle welding...
