Great show. I, too, wish it was longer. Had a great time and got to see some cars I hadn't seen before. Great to have more events like this in MN. I WILL be back next year!

Was cool to be selected for an award too. Best Pinstripes.

Isn't that "red" primer'd ford truck the one that Boyd Coddington built?

Great pics, Bull. Congrats on the award. I made a trophy (not for pinstriping) so I got to pick the winner of that award. That added a little extra fun for me. Next year, hopefully more people will make trophies for the show.

This was built by John and Dave Chalberg from Zumbota .Dave also has an Erskin with a 289 stude with twin carbs that is pretty cool .

I did some tuning to the motor, put some different jets in it etc etc.

Sounds like you did a good job getting it running well, Titus. That's our lunch buddy Gary in the pic, looking at the truck.

Correction: That's not our lunch buddy Gary.

Beau, thanks for the kind words. That truck belongs to me. I had a good time at the show and would like to thank your club, Titus, Choptop and anyone else who had a hand in putting this show together. Looking forward to next year!

Are there "Billetproof" type cars at the "Back to the Fifties" show? Or do the trad style car guys skip the big show?

Just wondering if it is worth the drive up there.

  20. Man, this thing is the T!Ts !!

I'm not really into pick-ups but I love every detail of this thing. I hope to build an A Coupe one day and if it comes out looking half as good as your pick-up I'll be stoked!

    -Pete.

    P.S what colour is that?

Pete, again thanks for the compliments. It was a fun truck to build and as far as the color is concerned its a long story. The answer is I can't tell you what the color is because I don' t know. I gave the paint store a code for a 50s Volkswagen color and this is what they came up with, not the color I had in mind but I liked it. Now I can't imagine the truck any other color.
